It all started with a 2 stroke
When I was 12 years old, my Grandfather gave me his 1972 Yamaha JT2. This little 60cc 2 stroke was awesome! My friends with Honda Z50 were so envious when I could pop the clutch and do a burnout or a wheelie. I had probably already outgrown this little bike by the time my Grandpa entrusted her with me, but she was my ride! Every lap I took around the subdivision was pure joy. I quickly learned that if I opened up the air intake not only did it sound cooler, but gave me little more horsepower. I had a blast tearing down the carb and rebuilding just for kicks. I learned that if I adjusted the fuel supply to the carb it would go a little faster. In that day, my "ton up" was 45 miles per hour. Wrenching and riding on these vintage motorcycles is still pure joy and my Therapy.
This motorcycle is on display in the Therapy Garage.
